The Nutcracker – Winter Performance Auditions

Monmouth Ballet Foundation Monmouth Academy of Ballet proudly presents its inaugural winter ballet performance, bringing to life the timeless magic of “The Nutcracker!” ❄️

Based on the classic winter tale of Clara’s adventures with her devoted Nutcracker, Monmouth Academy of Ballet will bring to life our first ever Winter Performance! Join us as our talented students transport you from a cozy winter gathering and into a world of whimsy and wonder. Watch as Clara and her beloved Nutcracker Prince triumph over the mischievous Mouse King, journey through a glittering snow-kissed forest, and arrive in the enchanting Land of Sweets. This joyous celebration of winter magic and enchantment is a dazzling debut you won’t want to miss!

“The Nutcracker” will be performed on Saturday, December 20th, 2025.

Rehearsals will begin Sunday, September 14th, 2025, and will continue right through until the performance date. Details to follow.

Auditions

Please arrive early to allow for audition number assignment. Auditions will be held at MAB’s studio on Sunday, September 7th, 2025. Dancers please make sure you note your class audition time below:

Primary, Pique & Plié – “L3”, “Little Littles” & “Littles” – ARRIVE: 8:40AM – AUDITION: 9:00AM – 10:30AM

Chassé, Passé, & Adults – “Mediums”, “Bigs” & Adults – ARRIVE: 10:10AM – AUDITION: 10:30AM – 12:30PM

All participants are required to audition for placement purposes on September 7th. This will be the only day dancers will be able to audition, so be sure to mark your calendar if you wish to participate.

Required audition attire:

For young ladies: black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers and pointe shoes where appropriate. Hair must be in a bun.
For young men: black or navy leggings, white tee-shirt, white ankle socks and black or white ballet slippers.

Audition Application & Fees

Your audition application and $60 audition fee must be submitted to MAB no later than Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025. Late payments are subject to a late fee and will be $70. Payments can be made via the Quickbooks invoice sent to the email provided.

There is an additional performance fee of $260 is due, date to be announced, before Rehearsals begin on Sunday, September 14th. Payments can be made via the Quickbooks invoice sent to the email provided.
